Catherine House provides crisis and longer-term accommodation, along with support services, to women at risk of or experiencing homelessness, accommodating up to 60 women each night.
As South Australia’s only homelessness and recovery service for women, Catherine House addresses the immediate issues created by homelessness and assists women in planning a future that supports sustained housing, education, employment, and financial security.
Through a recovery-oriented focus, women are offered a safe, supportive environment with opportunities to achieve improved personal and economic wellbeing.
Every woman who arrives at Catherine House is allocated a caseworker and offered intensive casework support. The team works with each woman to address the issues that led to her homelessness, working together towards finding safe and affordable accommodation upon leaving the program, and connecting her with other support services within the community.
A safe place to sleep and a warm meal are just the beginning at Catherine House. Their holistic, recovery-oriented model aims to end women’s homelessness for good.
