This spring, the walls of the historic Adelaide Arcade will come alive with colour, creativity, and imagination as Little Picassos Art Studios marks its 20th anniversary with a spectacular celebration of student artwork.

From September 26, 2025, more than 600 original pieces created by the talented young artists of Little Picassos will be exhibited throughout the arcade, transforming the beloved shopping precinct into a vibrant, gallery-style experience.

Founded in 2005, Little Picassos has spent two decades nurturing creativity and celebrating the artist in every child. With a philosophy rooted in imagination, observation, individuality, and skill development, the studios have become a cornerstone of visual arts education for children in South Australia. From toddlers to teens, students are encouraged to explore their creative voice through high quality instruction in drawing, painting, clay, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media.

The upcoming Spring Art Exhibition not only marks a major milestone in Little Picassos’ journey but also showcases the incredible talent and vision of its students. Every artwork tells a story of wonder, exploration, bold ideas, and unique perspectives. The exhibition will feature a wide variety of styles and Spring themes, reflecting the diverse range of young artists who call Little Picassos their creative home.

“Turning 20 is a huge milestone for us,” says Director and Founder, Janine Boyd. “This exhibition is our way of honouring the thousands of children who have come through our doors, and it gives the broader community a chance to see the power and beauty of children’s art in a truly iconic Adelaide space.”

Visitors to the Adelaide Arcade can wander through the display at their leisure, discovering artworks in the middle walkway, suspended between the upper and lower levels as well as a curated installation in the upper gallery space. The exhibition will showcase both individual brilliance and collective creativity. It’s a joyful, accessible celebration of art and community, open to all.

As Little Picasso’s steps into its third decade, the Spring Art Exhibition is not only a look back at a rich legacy, but is also a promise of the future, where every child has the chance to see themselves as an artist.

Join the celebration and be inspired by the next generation of South Australian creatives. The Little Picassos 20-Year Anniversary Spring Art Exhibition opens on September 26, 2025, in Adelaide Arcade. Little Picassos has studio locations across Adelaide, including Glenelg, Hyde Park, Magill and Woodcroft.
