Burger Boy’s big Adelaide debut!

Hold onto your headphones, Adelaide – Australian Idol 2025 winner Marshall Hamburger is heading our way! The 20-year-old singing superstar, who fans lovingly call 'Burger Boy', is making his first-ever Adelaide appearance at the Search For A Star Grand Finale this October – and it's set to be a total showstopper.

Marshall wowed the entire country on Australian Idol with his catchy retro-pop style, even performing a legendary duet of You Make Me Feel Like Dancing with the one and only Leo Sayer. His mix of fun, throwback vibes and serious vocal skills had judge Kyle Sandilands calling him “a seasoned genius musician,” and Amy Shark saying he “morphed into a superstar.”

Fresh off a sold-out national tour, Marshall will be bringing his eight-piece band along for the ride when he headlines the Grand Finale of Search For A Star 2025 – South Australia’s most iconic talent comp.

Search For A Star has been uncovering local legends since the late ’90s, including Wes Carr (who later won Australian Idol!) and Orianthi Panagaris, who went on to perform with music megastars like Michael Jackson, Prince, and Carlos Santana.

After years away, the comp made a big comeback this year, with months of heats and hundreds of young hopefuls giving it their all. Now, the top finalists are ready for one final showdown—vying for epic prizes like a paid performance on a Mekong River Cruise, two days in a recording studio, and a share in a $50,000 prize pool!

One finalist making waves? 12-year-old Keegan Power, an Adelaide dancer who literally danced with Katy Perry!

Proceeds from the event go to Make-A-Wish Foundation, helping kids with critical illnesses.

The Search For A Star 2025 – Grand Finale is at Futures Event Centre on Friday, 3 October 2025. Get tickets here.
