Get ready for a Viking adventure these school holidays! Head to the South Australian Museum on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 July for Mint Your Mark — a special hands-on activity made just for kids aged 5 to 14.

You’ll get to stamp your very own Viking-style coin and learn all about how coins were made and traded back in the Viking Age. Discover cool facts about Viking life, listen to old stories, and find out why treasures were so important in their world. Best of all? You get to take your coin home!

An adult needs to come along and stay during the session — but don’t worry, they don’t need a ticket.

While you’re at the Museum, make sure to check out the amazing Treasures of the Viking Age: The Galloway Hoard exhibition, visiting all the way from Scotland until 27 July. Tickets for the exhibition can be bought at the door or online.

Mint Your Mark tickets can also be bought at the door or booked online — but spots are limited, so don’t miss out! Head to samuseum.sa.gov.au for information.
