A new FRINGE destination is coming to Victoria Square in 2023: Fool’s Paradise

Fools Paradise Adelaide Fringe
Fool’s Paradise is an exciting new festival precinct located at Tarntanyangga - Victoria Square that will host a variety of acts across two distinctive venues, The Vault & The Pyramid.

The inaugural program will present over 25 Adelaide Fringe acts to create a central paradise for festival fans and families.

Headlining Fool’s Paradise is the return of Head First Acrobats’ award winning show GODZ (2022 Best Circus and Adelaide Fringe Critics Choice weekly award). GODZ provides a sneak peek into the lives of the ancient Gods of Olympus as they paint the scene of Ancient Greece. Expect a bodyssey of gravity defying stunts, tests of heroic strength, and slapstick comedy Head First Acrobats have become famous for.

As a company, they are dedicated to providing world-class circus and physical theatre performances – and now a festival space in the heart of Adelaide.

I love the sense of family and community in Adelaide Fringe. Each year friends from all over the world converge into one frenzied month for the Fringe. It’s a beautiful thing.

says Thomas Gorham, Co-founder of Head First Acrobats & Fool’s Paradise. “We started Fool’s Paradise for a multitude of reasons. This festival offers so many opportunities, and we’re hoping our site can offer stable financial and working conditions for festival artists after a pretty tough couple of years. Vistors can expect world-class acts within a gorgeous outdoor site with space to enjoy the sunshine, a South Australian wine and connect with the arts scene in Australia’s largest arts festival.”
