A festive extravaganza will take over the city’s main shopping strip on Thursday 13 October in celebration of the 90th anniversary of one of South Australia’s most cherished family events, the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
As well as playing host to the big reveal of two of this year’s new Pageant floats, there will be a free glitter bar, music performances, storytelling with the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Royal Family at the City Library from 11.30am, interactive games and activities and tasty food offerings.
A competition to win reserved seating for a family of four on Pageant Day will run during Thursday’s event at Rundle Mall, inviting people to help name one of this year’s new floats.
Children can also meet with the much-loved Pageant characters Jolly and Jingles and have their photo taken with two of the brand-new Pageant floats.
Taking place from 10:30am until 2pm at the Rundle Mall canopy, it is guaranteed to keep the kids entertained and add some festive fun to the October school holidays.
The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will return to Adelaide’s streets on Saturday 12th November for its 90th anniversary.
