There’s been a changing of the guard at Bowerbird Design Market, with the upcoming November 27 – 29 market being managed by new owner, Peggy Byrne.
With a new top chick feathering the Bowerbird nest, a fresh designer line-up (and of course some returning faves), the November market is set to be one of the best yet.
We asked Peggy about what we can expect to see come November at Bowerbird Design Market.
Peggy can you tell us a bit about what it’s like taking over such a well known event / business in Adelaide?
Bowerbird has felt like a really good fit for me from the start, I’m very passionate about supporting small business and, in particular, creative endeavours. Bowerbird is more than an event, it’s a showcase of the Australian design community, which is an honour to be representing. Everyone has made me feel very welcome for which I am so grateful.
What can everyone expect to see at the Bowerbird market in November?
People can expect the same calibre of super talented designers and creators as we have presented in the past. We will be announcing our designer line-up mid October but you’ll find some returning favourites and some amazing new products and emerging designers. A strong SA presence as always, complimented by interstate brands showcasing everything from clothing to ceramics, something for the home, for the kids, beauty products, jewellery and a host of delicious food and drinks outlets of course.
Can you give us a snapshot of some of the brands that will be there with kids in mind and a few things for the mums to enjoy?
We have a suite of new emerging artists at the November event; Miniz by Me creates beautiful dolls houses that can be packed up into a vanity case, they all have a different style and are handmade.
ANiMOZ is a fun and educational trading card game about Australia’s incredible wildlife and the dangers they face.
Some returning favourites include; Fede – who create gorgeous kids clothing and Fleeci who hand make kids soft toys.
And wonderful new designers; al.ive body – the new body care range recently launched by Alisa and Lysandra (of The Block), Appleye Jewellery Designs – simple and stylish jewellery and Dean Toepfer who’ll be bringing his very cool new product Vase Versa.
