Festive fun at Minda Community Christmas Carols and Markets
Get ready for a festive celebration! The annual Minda Community Christmas Carols and Markets event is set to spread some holiday cheer on Saturday, 7 December.
After a three-year absence, 2023 saw the event return stronger than ever with more than 5000 gathering at Minda’s North Brighton site for a colourful and exciting day of food trucks, rides and amusements, a petting zoo and a visit from Santa and Mrs Claus.
This year, the event is expected to attract an even larger crowd with more live music and entertainment, more market stalls, more rides and more food trucks!
The event has been extended to 12pm–7pm and will be hosted by MCs Rosalie Panetta (12pm–4pm) and Andy Martin (4pm–7pm).
Minda Chief Executive David Panter says after a long year, it’s time to reconnect and celebrate the spirit of the season.
“Our Christmas Carols is a much-anticipated event for our staff, volunteers, and the people we support as well as the wider community. We’re thrilled to share this special moment with everyone and grateful for the opportunity to come together during this festive season,” he says.
Eventgoers can enjoy performances from 10th/27th Battalion Royal SA Regiment, Australian Girls’ Choir, Australian Military Wives Choir, City of Holdfast Bay Concert Band, Tutti Arts and more.
In addition to the spectacular performances, visitors can explore arts, crafts, jewellery, plants and more from a range of more than 50 market stalls.
There will also be an incredible raffle with more than $5000 worth of prizes to be won including vouchers and goods from more than 40 different donors such as Adelaide Arcade, Sky City, Charlesworth Nuts, Beerenberg, Bickford’s, Kytons Bakery and Adelaide Central Market.
Food trucks available for the day include Boost Juice, Chipalicious, Fairy Floss Galore, Hay There Coffee, Heaps Good Gin, Inc Café, La Mia Luna Pizza and so much more.
