Celebrate the Cedars
Join us for Celebrate the Cedars – the inaugural festival marking the anniversary of Hans Heysen’s Birthday (145th birthday). Lovers of art, history, music and nature can come together in the stunning Artist’s Garden and surrounds at The Cedars, Hahndorf on Saturday 8 October.
This festival celebrates the stunning home, studios, gardens, and acreage of the Heysen family, along with the spectacular artwork from both Hans Heysen and his daughter Nora Heysen, who was the first female artist to win the Archibald Prize.
The festival has an exciting array of activities and entertainment including a day’s program of live music (classical and contemporary), entry to Nora Heysen and Hans Heysen’s studios, access to the Artist’s Walk across the broader property, talks on art, history and nature, family-friendly games and activities for children (including baby animal farm), creative wares from South Australian designers and makers, local food & drink (Adelaide Hills wine, gin & beer) and more!
Tickets can be purchased at hansheysen.com.au or at the door.
Tickets are free with the first 100 purchases of Cedars Members (starting from $70):
