2022 Onkaparinga Christmas Pageant

Christmas has come early at the City of Onkaparinga with the return of the pageant confirmed for the first time in three years! Mark it on your calendars as this is one event not to be missed!

Beach Road, Christies Beach will once again play host to the pageant followed by Christmas in the Park in Rotary Park on the corner of the Esplanade and Beach Road.

The pageant will start on the corner of Hunt Crescent and Beach Road, Christies Beach. So set yourself up along Beach Road, before 10am to watch the procession of marching bands, dance groups, sporting clubs, community groups and businesses before Santa makes his appearance. Santa will be waving to the crowd as he travels towards Rotary Park where the excitement continues with Christmas in the Park.

Applications to participate in this year’s Onkaparinga Christmas Pageant have now closed. If you applied, we will be in touch with you soon regarding the outcome of your application.

Temporary traffic restrictions

Road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in and around Beach Road and the Esplanade, Christies Beach, but not limited to these areas.

Christmas in the Park

Opening at 10am, this family focussed event continues the celebration of the holiday season with plenty for the family to do following the historic pageant. After having a photo with Santa, the kids can write him a letter and post it in Santa’s very own letter box. Rock climbing, lawn games, a petting zoo and face painting are some of the activities that will be on offer and why not stay and enjoy some of the delicious food that will be available before kick starting your Christmas shopping in our Christmas Market!
