Welcome to the Fleurieu Food Festival

Fleurieu Food Festival
Take a journey for the senses across the Fleurieu Peninsula throughout the month of August with the inaugural Fleurieu Food Festival. Experience fine dining in vineyards or olive groves, foraging experiences, farm tours and presentations or cooking classes.

Businesses across the region have been invited to host food focused events and curate opportunities to showcase what makes the food of the Fleurieu world class. The resultant program is a month-long celebration of the creativity, tenacity, diversity and deliciousness of the food, producers and service providers of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

As part of the Fleurieu Food Festival, patrons can experience fine dining in a vineyard or olive grove, join a foraging excursion in the forest, tag along on a farm tour or learn new cooking techniques in a masterclass.

Some providers are hosting events that will recur through the month – like the ‘Willunga Farmers Market’ presentations that give visitors the chance to sample the flavours of the region while brushing shoulders with the farmers themselves – and others are bespoke once-only events, like the ‘Wood Fired Feast in the Dunes’ with local seafood and native ingredients as used by the Ngarrindjeri people

With options ranging from degustation dinners, tours and markets to masterclasses and pop-up events, the program is broad and August is set to be satisfying right across the Fleurieu!

The festival is brought to you by the Board of Fleurieu Food with valued sponsorship from Mase Events, Alexandrina Council, Notable Imprint, South Australian Tourism Commission, District Council of Yankalilla, City of Onkaparinga and City of Victor Harbor.

The Chair of Fleurieu Food, Mel Hollick from Peninsula Providore, is delighted by the program.

The Festival presents a really exciting snapshot of food and the food culture of our region,” said Mel. “The enthusiasm with which our members have taken up the opportunity to participate in the Fleurieu Food Festival has been remarkable. Locals and visitors alike are in for a treat as they choose from the varied offerings in the program!”

Pricing for events varies from free events to exclusive high end ticketed opportunities. Festival brochures can be collected at various locations across the Fleurieu Peninsula, tourist and visitor information centres and participating venues.
