Applications now open for Credit Union SA School Impact Program

Applications for Credit Union SA’s new initiative, the School Impact Program, are now open, offering South Australian schools the chance to receive funding for vital programs and activities.

The School Impact Program aims to provide up to 50 schools per year, across metropolitan and regional South Australia, the opportunity to access funding for projects between $2,000 and $20,000 to help students and staff thrive.

Opening applications on Monday, 29 January, Credit Union SA Chief Executive, Todd Roberts, explained, “Our School Impact Program is just another way that we are supporting the South Australian education community.”

“It’s all about allowing schools to make improvements for their school community without having to donate their valuable time or money through ongoing fundraising efforts,” Todd said.

Our School Impact Program is committed to giving school communities over $1 million in vital funds across the next 10 years.

“The funding provided to schools across the state will enable educational facilities to bring forward their investments into to school grounds, as well as learning facilities and equipment. This can include upgrades to various facilities or equipment, student experiences such as school camps and excursions, teacher wellbeing and training, and student support such as lunch or sporting programs,” Todd continued.

Applications for the first round of the Credit Union SA School Impact Program are closing on Friday, 22 March where assessment will take place in the Term 1 school holidays and the winners will be contacted Week 1 of Term 2.

The second round of applications will open on 22 July, where the winners will be announced in the first week of Term 4.

In 2024, the School Impact Program is for all Department of Education schools and in 2025 it will be extended to include every single school in South Australia.
