Whether it’s to encourage them to try new things, make good food choices, or to teach them about the importance of eating a rainbow of healthy foods, we’re always looking for ways to get our kiddos involved in the food they eat.
The Adelaide Central Market’s FREE kids program, Market Minis, is the perfect opportunity to engage your mini market goer in understanding more about what they’re eating and why.
Dietitian-designed program
The team from Sprout are on board to deliver this dietitian-designed program, helping young Market kids to glow, go and grow; empowering them to make great food choices themselves as they make their way into the school years.
The recipe will change weekly, with a focus on using seasonal, healthy fruit and veg in a way that kids will love!
Drop in and watch on
The sessions are approximately 20 minutes, the perfect time to appeal to the short attention spans of little people (let’s be honest!), and are run in a ‘drop in’ format so that parents and carers can stay close by and enjoy a coffee while their Market Mini enjoys using seasonal fruit and vegetables to create a simple dish.
Bookings are not required, however waiting times could apply due to the ‘drop in’ nature of the activity.
Kids between 2 and 5 years old
This program is designed to suit children between 2 and 5 years old and is FREE for Market customers every Tuesday during school term.
New kids menu at Atlas
After your kiddo joins in the fun at Market Minis, you might like to sample the brand new kids menu at Atlas Continental Café, located right on the Gouger dining area. The team at Atlas are also hosting exclusive Tuesday Market Minis specials.

Ham and cheese brioche for $5
Bubacino with marshmallow $1
Brekky burger or wrap with a coffee $15
Along with the usual kids menu

Who: Suitable for ages 2-5 years

The Adelaide Central Market and Sprout will be following advice from SA Health regarding COVID-19, and taking the following measures:
Sanitising all surfaces between sessions
Ensuring appropriate distancing between participants
Ensuring sessions are limited to 1 per 2sqm
When visiting the Market for Market Minis, please:
Stay 1.5 metres apart
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water
Cough or sneeze into your arm or use a tissue
Please do not visit if you feel sick or unwell
If possible, please bring your own hand sanitizer
