Who doesn’t love a fun, free thing to keep the whole family entertained? Throughout October and November, OzAsia Festival has free events on each weekend of the festival that celebrate traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as food, wine, music, and literature.

OzAsia Festival starts with Moon Lantern Trail, a four-day event across Tarntanya Wama/Pinky Flat that features over a dozen big lantern installations, roving performances, interactive workshops for families, and food options to enjoy in the park. Moon Lantern Trail is spectacular at both day and night, and even includes lanterns on Karrawirra Pari and the Riverbank Footbridge.

Throughout the whole three weeks, Lucky Dumpling Market returns to Elder Park, serving up delicious food and free entertainment! Thanks to the team at Gluttony, Lucky Dumpling Market is open six days a week and features cuisine from across Asia in a gorgeous outdoor setting. On the Lucky Dumpling Market Stage, a selection of local and national RnB, rap, electronic, country and pop acts perform for free.

The final weekend of OzAsia Festival is a double whammy – not only is OzAsia Festival’s writing and ideas festival In Other Words taking over Adelaide Festival Centre, but a brand new event will be on Festival Plaza – Bubble Tea Garden! This event pays homage to the Taiwanese delicacy of Bubble Tea, and some of Adelaide’s best vendors will bring a selection of flavours to the Garden, complete with fun activities to enjoy in the sunshine.
