Adelaide Central Market welcomes Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company as Producer in Residence

As a perfect end to the summer school holidays, Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company will be scooping their award-winning ice cream and sorbets at the Adelaide Central Market as part of the Producer in Residence program.

Starting the 9th of January and running until January 27th, market-goers will have the opportunity to indulge in the finest handcrafted ice cream and sorbets, all meticulously crafted by the Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company.

They are the only commercial ice cream producer in South Australia that doesn’t use pre-mix powders, meaning their recipes contain significantly less sugar and the only preservative used is a freezer.

Based in Tanunda, the Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company is known for their commitment to quality. Their products are glutenfree and feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients from the best growers and providores located within the beautiful Barossa Valley and its surrounds.

The cream used in their ice creams comes exclusively from Jersey cows in Greenock and the Fleurieu Peninsula, ensuring a rich and creamy texture. The fruit juice for their sorbets is derived from 100% natural juice sourced from the Riverland district of South Australia, while the strawberries are handpicked from the nearby Adelaide Hills.

Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company will be offering their delectable creations by the scoop as well as in take-home packs. Market visitors can expect a tempting array of flavours, including Belgian Chocolate, Vanilla, Honey & Rosemary and Balsamic Roasted Strawberry, as well as their Champion Trophy winning Salty Caramel. They’ll also be scooping their range of vegan sorbets which include Lemon, Blood Orange and Lemon & Strawberry.

Don’t miss the chance to experience the unparalleled flavours of Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company at Adelaide Central Market’s Producer In Residence program. Indulge your taste buds in the essence of the Barossa Valley from January 9th to January 27th.
