Entertainment and dining precinct coming to Rundle Place

Rundle Place announces Entertainment Place
Premium retail centre Rundle Place is set to become the first day/night destination in the area with the addition of a new entertainment and dining precinct.

Funlab, Australasia’s largest entertainment provider, has leased more than 2,200sqm on Level 1 of Rundle Place and will bring three of its global brands to South Australia for the first time.

The precinct, named ‘Entertainment Place’, will include Strike Bowling, Hijinx Hotel and Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, a dazzling, delightful spectacle for all ages, bringing together a kaleidoscopic circus of cocktails, arcade and ticket games that gives old fun a new life.

The Centre will host Hijinx Hotel, an immersive themed interactive escape room and game experience housed within the theme, wonder and theatre of a quirky New York style hotel where the rooms are reimagined into fun and experiential game-afied rooms.

Additionally, the 1,500sqm dining precinct will be a destination for food and beverage, featuring up to seven restaurants and bars, showcasing the best in class South Australian and national tenants.

The project will start construction soon and is expected to open in late 2023.

According to Sam Sproats, Executive Director of Funds Management at Fortius, the project will extend Rundle Place’s appeal from fashion and services into the evening, with an entertaining and dining precinct that will be the first of its kind in South Australia.

It is a significant project that continues our repositioning of the centre and kickstarts Rundle Mall’s night-time economy, becoming the retail strip’s first and only true after-hours attraction.

Rundle Place already hosts several premium retail brands, such as Coles, Kookai, Country Road, Seed Heritage, Witchery, Mimco, Nude Lucy, Trenery, Oxford, Serafina, M.J. Bale, Politix, Aquila, and Honey Birdette.

With the addition of the entertainment and dining precinct, it is expected to become a one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Rundle Mall.
